November 2, 2023 — Propeller is proud to be Certified™ by Great Place To Work® for the seventh year in a row. The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at Propeller. This year, 92% of employees said it’s a great place To Work – 35 points higher than the average U.S. company.
Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention, and increased innovation.
“We are honored to be Great Place To Work Certified for the seventh consecutive year,” said Jess Brown, Senior Director of People Strategy.
“As an employee-owned firm, Propeller was founded on the idea that committing to our people and serving our clients exceptionally go together. It’s our culture of respect, grit, equity, and care for each other, our clients, and our communities that drive our long-term success. Our employees are what make Propeller a truly great place to work, and we’re grateful for their continued commitment to all we've built together.”
"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Propeller stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."
This year, we added several new benefits and programs to continue supporting the well-being — professionally and personally — of our employees, as well as investments to nurture an inclusive culture.
- To encourage balance, we added a new sabbatical benefit, providing a four-week sabbatical, which they can combine with PTO, to employees with a five-year tenure with the firm.
- Growth is built into our DNA at Propeller, which is why we invest in the growth of our people with a large growth benefit of $5,250 annually for each employee to invest in their professional development.
- Striving for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) excellence remains a top priority, with a newly created DEI Program Manager position, a cross-functional DEI council, and several employee-led Equity & Belonging Groups.
- We also made critical investments in our culture with new office space investments in our major markets to create space for community and connection with each other and our clients.
“What I like most about working at Propeller is the people. I thought I knew what collaboration meant, but at Propeller, it is at the next level. That’s a result of the dynamic nature of our employee structure. You have an army of 100’s of consultants standing behind you who want you to be successful,” says Annie Lyons, Principal Consultant at Propeller. “I also love working in a place where I know I will be challenged not just in what I do but in how I think. Consulting is inherently ambiguous and uncertain, and while that might strike fear in some organizations, Propeller doubles down on the power of ambiguity— helping all of us understand how to harness uncertainty to drive productive and often far more meaningful results for our clients.”
According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits, and have a fair chance at promotion.
Propeller also ranked as a Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services™, Best Workplaces for Parents™, Best Workplaces for Millennials™, and was ranked as a #60 Best Medium Workplaces™.
