We believe that strengthening diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Propeller is our responsibility to our employees, clients, and community.
We are committed to fostering a culture where employees can be their authentic selves and do their best work. Equity and inclusion practices are never done, it is a continual work in progress. Here are some of the actions we are taking to build momentum.
Embedding Diversity & Belonging
We are working to embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into the organization. This includes our values, ways of working, and how we measure success. It is not just a human resources priority — it is a shared commitment and organizational imperative that we are collectively responsible for. From active leadership involvement to a dedicated committee of compensated internal volunteers to an external assessment process, we are setting the foundational strategic direction, prioritizing actions, and holding ourselves accountable — together.
Welcoming Diversity
Our people are the foundation of our culture. To welcome diverse talent, we are continuously diversifying our candidate pipeline, ensuring an equitable experience through an Anti-Bias, Anti-Racist evaluation process, and upholding an inclusive interview process and strong employee retention.
Building Belonging
To build a sense of belonging, we’re demonstrating care through inclusive benefits like family-building benefits, paid parental leave, flexible PTO, wellness benefits, and personal learning & development budgets. To further belonging we have established feedback channels, offer firm-wide training and workshops, and have developed employee communities.
Advancing Equity
To create an environment that is not only welcoming but equitable, we are working to make sure all employees have the same experience. This includes providing inclusive performance management training, establishing pay bands for fair compensation, and offering equitable and transparent leadership paths and development opportunities. Equity isn’t just about within Propeller — we use our consulting services to support community groups led by and serving minoritized communities and use our position to promote equity externally.
