A recent survey by Propeller uncovered that while large-scale change is slowing down compared to the intensity of the last few years, employees are reporting higher levels of change saturation. The challenge is particularly pronounced in healthcare, where just 25% of employees report overall satisfaction with organizational realignments, compared to 50% in financial services and manufacturing. This dissatisfaction stems from a relentless stream of changes—including the shift to value-based care, new systems, constantly evolving regulations, and the need to support an overburdened, depleted workforce—which has become overwhelming for employees.
