June 9, 2023 — The Portland Business Journal has named Propeller as the 38th fastest-growing private company in Oregon and SW Washington in 2023. This is the eighth consecutive year Propeller has made the list. Propeller is a nationwide management consulting firm headquartered in Portland, Oregon, and founded in 2012.
“Growth is our DNA at Propeller and we’re honored to have made the Private 100 list again this year,” shared Sunil Kasturi, Propeller's chief growth officer. “By channeling our grit, dedication, and growth mindset, our employees continue to seek ways to drive forward impact and build momentum for our clients. This continued growth is but a reflection of our client's trust in that energy and quality of delivery."
This year’s achievement was based on the percentage of revenue growth over the past two years, from 2020 to 2022. The revenue growth was verified with Business Journal staff and a verification partner Perkins & Co. The threshold to get onto the Private 100 list this year grew from 34% to 23% the year prior, and the average growth across the list was 80%.
Propeller was also one of only a quarter of the companies on the list that had majority ownership by women, persons identifying as LGBTQIA+, or non-white people. Propeller is a certified women-owned business.
The Portland Business Journal celebrated the honorees at a banquet on June 9 at the Hilton Portland Downtown Hotel in a whimsically-theme Alice in Wonderland event. See the list of the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Oregon & Southwest Washington here. (Subscription required.)
