WOW PsychoHosebeast are you freaking kidding me? Condy is a GOPer and now this. But you are the first to say you are not racist> In my eyes the hole bunch of you are and it's sad that you are misleading people that are not into thinking that your problem with Obama is anything but the fact that he is black!

Note that she said the nation would be SAFE if Obama is elected, not SAFER than if McCain is elected. I think she is right. Although Obama, if elected, can damage the U.S., our nation is stronger than any one person. Our nation has survived bad presidents in the past and will survive bad presidents in the future.

Although I am Republican, I will not look to McCain, Obama, or even a reincarnation of Reagan for my own safty and security.-

Obama can't possibly "damage" the nation like the neocons have. Yes, we will survive this "bad" President of the past 7 years. But the rents he made in our national fabric need some major sewing up.

The next president will inherit a mess. Look at what happened in the state of Georgia today. Not talking about the Peach State either. Frightening to think that Bush is still at the figurative helm. -

I am reminded of the exchange between Kaffee and Jessep in "A Few Good Men":

Kaffee: Grave danger?
Jessep: Is there another kind?
Can we get an enumeration of degrees of safe here?

Since the State Department has essentially been in hibernation during the Bush Presidency her role has been one of increasing irrelevance. She was completely put in the background by Cheney. She must have been the sole Cabinet member to understand the historical implications of what we were doing in the Middle East. And how truly screwed up Iraq was, and still is...and will be in the future. She's got about 3 months to get that Palestinian-Israeli agreement together (LOL!). Something the neocons never really want to see anyway. Good luck Condi!

According to the WHITE HOUSE - http://www.whitehouse.gov/government/cabinet.html
The Cabinet includes the Vice President and the heads of 15 executive departments-the SECRETARIES OF Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, STATE, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, and the Attorney General. Under President George W. Bush, Cabinet-level rank also has been accorded to the Administrator, Environmental Protection Agency; Director, Office of Management and Budget; the Director, National Drug Control Policy; and the U.S. Trade Representative.

Given that the Republican won 2 elections (2002 and 2004) on the idea of 'fear' and the Democrats 'inability' to keep America safe this is HUGE.

she also said a lot of other things which are not mentioned in this very flimsy and misleading article.
a more complete transcript is above
she also mentioned that TIME IS RUNNING OUT ON IRAN
which is why she would feel safe if Obama were elected because by then Iran would cease to be a problem......-

i am just quoting what she said.........if you did some research you will find that it was a 35 minute interview with the entire interview posted on Yahoo. Now this article takes a 35 minute interviewand distills it into 1 sentence. Now who is missing the larger picture? For fly and for you cons perhaps you should read the much larger compilation of the article at the scoop link and then watch the 35 minute video on Yahoo before commenting on the larger picture which obviously both of you don't see.............but what can one expect from Obamabots

Well yes, Condi (like Colin Powell) has done well personally out of toadying-up to ZionCon interests in America.
Reply
Condi Rice and the Neocon Plan for the Palestinians
.... Condi Rice is likely the least qualified Secretary of State in recent history, especially considering her field of expertise is the Soviet Union, a political non-entity. However, since Washington is all about who you know--or suck up to--Rice is an appropriate selection for the Bushcons, considering she was a tenured professor of political science at Stanford, stomping grounds for the Hoover Institution, a neocon "public policy research center," on occasion referred to as Bush's "brain trust." Between 1985 and 1986, Condi was a national fellow at the Hoover Institution....
...It should be remembered that Rice, as a Christian Zionist, disclosed a "deep bond to Israel" back in 2003. "I first visited Israel in 2000," Rice told the Jewish Press on May 13, 2003....
... Of course, as a neocon acolyte, Condi Rice is not interested in peace in the Middle East, least of all between the Palestinians and Israelis, and even less so then her predecessor, who was often at odds with the Bushcon "crazies," as he so famously called them. Rice's Hoover Institution is closely aligned with other neocon foundations, including the Project for a New American Century and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, the latter particularly rabid in its opposition to any meaningful resolution of the conflict--that is to say, Israel's theft and occupation of Palestinian land--and continually cranks out propaganda designed to demonize not only the Palestinians, but Arabs and Muslims in general....
.... As should be obvious to all who pay attention, the Bush administration, in regard to the Middle East, is a mirror reflection of the Likudites in Israel, who are fanatically opposed to the establishment of a Palestinian state and will "adopt immediate stringent measures in the event of such a declaration," as their political platform states. As well, the colonization of the West Bank and Gaza "are the realization of Zionist values" and the theft of Palestinian land "is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities [illegal settlements] and will prevent their uprooting."...

White or black, is not the issue. I can't believe this moron made it to presidential candidate. I mean really! People need to wake up an see what this man will do to this country if he is elected. Taxes will rise exponentially! Where do you think the money is going to come from to support socialized medicine? Yeah, great for all the illegals who can't get insurance legally but what about us Americans? Also, he can't even salute our flag or sing our anthem??? Shouldn't the President of the United States have a little loyalty to the country? I know he wants change and the only change I can see is all Americans being forced to wear turbins. Yuck! I'm not racist so no, his color is not an issue with me, his heart is!

It's not just the man but the belief systems that he and his party cling to. All the major Democratic candidates want some sort of socialized medicine. The more Socialism the better. Neither party is willing to cut off all services and employment to illegals. This is to me the true loyalty test. Obama did say the pledge of allegiance last week, so I don't know where you're coming from, suggesting he's less than a patriot. I believe on some issues he's misguided and places party loyalty above national loyalty. As for McCain, ditto. After any election I just choke when I hear the typical victory speech, "I will be a (blank) to all the people, not just..." Oh, sure, but that never happens, they remain representatives of the party activists and lobbyists and to the heII with the average guy.

Major, my biggest concern is that I fail to find any underlying core values in Mr. Obama. He appears perfectly willing to remain vague; he excels at being a reflecting glass for the values of his followers, who see themselves in him.

1) The value of the dollar at an all time low
2) A budget deficit at all time high (adjusting for inflation)
3) Wages have gone DOWN while cost for EVERYTHING has skyrocketed
4) Our military is at it's LOWEST level of readiness EVER and we are wrapped up in TWO wars.
Can we do it again? Huh, can we do it again?-

BB642 weeks, 5 days ago
1) The dollar is down, however depending upon your career choice, things are not as bad as the liberals will have you believe. We're hiring engineers, welders, machinists and tool & die folks. We've been seeing huge capital projects rolling in left and right. Some are for the US but most are for export. China, India, Russia, Chile, Australia and Canada are our biggest markets. My firm, which is Swiss based, will see a huge profit very much like Exxon did.
Reply
2) Deficits are what built this nation. We do need to adjust many of our programs. More than 50% of our budget are the socialist programs. It's time for many of them to be streamlined or ended.
3) If you have actual skills, there are jobs out there. If you're a high school dropout or someone with a liberal arts degree, not so much.
4) Military? We fought 2 wars? We had two small conflicts within the same theater. We had a change in command and look what happened. Our military isn't at a low point. That is unless you're one of the guys selling the new F35. Then it's going to be an up ward sell. We can launch an attack via air, any where in the world with less than 6 hours notice. The B2 bombers proved that already. Heavy equipment would take longer but we have over 1 million members in the armed forces. Less than 10% are committed in the middle east. What more do you want?
As to your claims, let's look at the Navy. The US Navy lost over 200 ships while Mr. Clinton was in the White House. It was called the peace dividend. Looking back, so much for that.

If McCain wins I hope America goes to hell. I am sick and tired of all these mean spirited people who rather have an old senile grey haired republican (McShame) instead of giving hope a chance. These mean people have inherited a large degree of hatred. Personally, I am fed up. No wonder, we are hated around the world. Republicans do any damn thing they desire and get away with it. Rove, Bush and Cheney should be serving time in prison for war crimes. Instead, Bush has his ass over in China trying to give advice on religion and human rights. Only in America!

So you think the US is hated around the world. You must be born and lived in the US all your life (and never traveled anywhere but maybe Disney once in your life).
Reply
There isn't a country in the world that doesn't have a list of its citizens that have applied for VISAs to move and live in the US. I, along with my entire family, came to this country that you trash. I spent 21 years in the US military for the country you trash. My wife and her entire family emigrated to the US because they hated (Not the US) the former USSR and the miserable life they had there.
I work with a former Albanian that is proud to be in the country you trash.
In my 21 years in the military, I had ample opportunity to travel abroad. I've spent time in Germany, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and I can tell you, they do not trash the country YOU trash.
As a matter of fact, I remember meeting two Kuwaiti business men in Bahrain, and they explained how every Kuwaiti has a picture of the first Pres. Bush hanging proudly in their home.
Seems to me that you can show a bit more respect to the country you live in and which provides you every opportunity in life. In my view, you cannot get any better than the US. Even if we do not have everything figured out, we have the means to make our future anything we choose it to be.
I JUST CHOOSE NOT TO TRASH THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN, LOVE AND SPENT MY LIFE DEFENDING.-

You sound like a typical first-generation "superpatriot" that needs to prove he is "american". Is that why all your "foreign" listings correspond to US military bases? In which of those countries did you learn the local language? How does your wife's family feel about having moved from one military empire to another one?

When you have been here awhile, then perhaps you will begin to understand the fundamental principles of american democracy.
Few Americans Are Guilty, but All Are Responsible
No one escapes responsibility living in an imperial state with the barbaric record of the US (in my lifetime, unjust U.S. wars, direct and through proxies, against the people of Latin America, southern Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, resulting in millions of victims). Bush and Clinton couldn’t carry out their crimes in this relatively open and democratic society if we did not allow it.

Trashing the current Administration and believing that the current Administration and it's policies are hated by the world is NOT the same as "trashing this country".
Reply
Unfortunately, since most people of the world view the US Administration as a reflection of the the US people MANY people around the world do NOT see a difference between the POLICY of the US Government and American People.

My first question is why we all care about who is in support of who? Are we not intelligent individuals capable of making our own decisions? All this energy spent fighting over party affiliation, patriotism and name calling is separating us further as a nation than ever before. How about we all stop this non-productive nonsense and unite to make this country, as great as, we all know it can be.

I always had a little respect for Condi Rice, but after hearing her opinion on Barack Hussein Obama and the safety of this country, I now have no respect for this puppet at all. Boy, do blacks show their true intentions when another black runs for office, even if he has less experience than Paris Hilton.

She has served in a Republican administration. That would qualify for her being a Republican and not undercutting the Republican candidate by saying stupid things about someone who has no experience. Just shows, no matter how much education the blacks always stick together and support each other, no matter how incompetent they are..

See, this is where we get into trouble. A lot of republicans complain that whatever they say against Obama, they're labeled as racists... then a poster comes on with a racist statement like this, and you wonder how many of those that are complaining make similar statements.
Reply
"Boy, do blacks show their true intentions when another black runs for office" -- this is racism. You are labeling all blacks as have the same (devious) intentions, and making a wild assumption that the only possible reason a black man could have support is 'solidarity'.
So to all the complainers. I agree, you aren't racist just for not supporting Obama, not at all. Chances are it has more to do with you being party loyalists than anything else. But there are certainly those around who are quite happy to play the race/fear card, and they are giving you a bad name.
