    Yes, like a true politician, he deflected the tough questions.
    
    He has the touch of a spoiled child, calling Ralston a proxy for McCain. As we all know good reporters ask the tough questions. Obama clearly didn't like that.

    It was Obama who shouted down Ralston and won out on that. It's Ralston's show. Let's face it, if you love Obama, he can do no wrong. If you just substituted McCain in that interview, same questions, same demeanor, you would be criticizing all McCain said.

      Yes, unfortunately that's the way it works. We've turned politics in this country into one big giant football game where, everyone rally's behind the red team or the blue team without listening to reason. Heaven help us.
      
      We're a nation of spoiled children who wouldn’t recognize compromise if jumped up and offered us a million bucks. The way politics should work is one side compromise with the other to form the best possible scenario for their constituency. Instead we're forcing these candidates to promise the world and they'll never be able to deliver.

  if over a 14 year period you don't think a person can change and refine his positions based on new perceptions and life experiences than you are a fool. Contrast that with Obama who changes is position every 14 seconds depend on where and to whom he is speaking.

    McCain flops around as much if not more than Obama. The only difference is... You don't seek out the McCain flip flops the same way that you do with Obama. So, McCain appears, to you, to be the more credible candidate.
    
    In addition, when McCain isn't flopping about, he's not really saying anything. He has missed over 60% of the vote on the Senate floor this session alone. Last session it was close to 50% of the votes. So, how can you really tell what McCain's positions are? If he has one, he changes his mind or he doesn’t say anything at all.
    
    I really wish that your team would have chosen one of the other candidates. But you didn’t and many of you had serious problems with his positions during the primaries. What I’d really like to know is what changed your mind about him. Is it just because he’s now the Republican front-runner or is there some fantastic deed that he’s done, some fabulous solution that he’s come up with to the world’s problems (that we haven’t already heard) that the rest of us who have tried to remain sane have missed? All I’ve really seen out of his campaign is foolishness about celebrities and parroting the same old tired, ineffective policies of the last seven years. Where are McCain’s real solutions to our Nation’s problems? Really. I’d like to know. Convince me without slamming Obama, or even bringing him up, why I should vote for McCain.

There is nothing for Obama to debate the "hypocrite" McCain. McCain has no plans, agenda or knowledge of what has to be done to country's economy, health care and financial mess. All he is doing is to discredit Obama.

So, there is really nothing to debate.

Wonder who will be typing his thoughts on a teleprompter if he is elected? I guess that most of the votes as "present" instead of yea or nay had to be cast while he was waiting for the teleprompter to be typed so he would know how to vote.

Obama clearly didn't like being asked certain questions. The typical child like blame game, calling Ralston a proxy for McCain, and acting offended, is something I have noticed about Obama. I guess he is used to the media giving him a pass and now that they are starting to ask the hard questions he doesn't like it. The answer about why he voted for oil company subsidies was a typical political answer because so many bills are not clear cut but have attachments and compromises. So the politician can say he was for this part of it and against that part of it, McCain, on the same bill was clear. He voted against it because it gave subsidies to big oil.
